This page provides information about the service we offer.

All staff are DBS checked and hold a current Paediatric First Aid certificate.

If you would like to reserve a place for your child(ren) you will need to complete a Registration form and return this to a member of Lunch Club or Nursery staff. If a space is not available at time of enquiry then your child’s name will be placed on a waiting list.

We encourage and actively support eligible parents/carers claiming and taking up the childcare element of the Working Tax Credit and those who are entitled to childcare vouchers through their employer.

What does Lunch club provide:

Lunch Club runs Monday – Friday during term time.

Monday – Thursday sessions are held in The Children’s Centre.

Friday sessions are held in the hall/dining room.

Sessions run from 11.30 – 12.30.

The cost per session is £3.50.

Children may either have a packed lunch or have a school dinner at an additional cost. Dinner money is to be paid separately at the Infant school office.

If your child usually has a packed lunch but would like to try a school dinner then please book this with the school office but please remember to inform members of Blast staff.

Morning Nursery – children are collected from nursery. Parent/carers then pick up at 12.30 from The Children’s Centre.

Afternoon Nursery – parent/carer’s to bring child/ren for 11.25 and wait outside for a member of staff to meet them. Children will be taken to nursery at 12.30 by Lunch Club staff.  We will help the children change their shoes and their library book and then settle them in.

Benefits of Lunch Club

Lunch Club offers children a chance to take part in some fun activities and to make new friends from both morning and afternoon nursery.

Children will eat in the dining room each day so they get the chance to mix with the infant school children and get them used to a noisy environment. It also introduces the children to the lunch time routine for when they move to Reception.

If your child is not a good eater but chooses to have a school dinner they would be encouraged to try new things and rewarded with a sticker. We have found that children will try lots of new things at school especially if their friends eat it.
