Headteacher’s Welcome

On behalf of the Governors, staff, parents and children of Woolenwick Junior School I would like to extend a warm welcome.

Woolenwick Junior school is a lovely two form entry school with a caring and supportive family ethos; children are at the very heart of everything we do. As a school we are committed to providing excellent opportunities for learning, both in school and in the community. We pursue excellence in all aspects of our school life.

We are all very proud of our school with its excellent team of dedicated teachers, support staff, volunteers and caring children. We all come together to create an engaging atmosphere in which children learn and develop to the best of their abilities. Governors and parents are supportive and want the very best for all of the children. The school has a family feel where all of us work together to make our school an incredibly special place.

Learning permeates in everything we do and values are at the very heart of our school; when children leave us at the end of year six we expect them to make a positive contribution to the society and the world in which they live. Our three key words: Resilient-Respectful-Achieving around our school logo embody how we expect our children to develop so that they become model citizens who will be the role models for the future generation.

Our children are keen to learn and to be involved in the running of their school. A walk through the school affords you an insight into the amazing pride that they take and the achievements that they make in all areas of the curriculum and at home.

This website provides a great deal of information about our school; however, if you wish to know more, please do not hesitate to contact myself or one of the office team and we would be delighted to show you around.

I hope to welcome you to Woolenwick Junior School in the near future.

Kind regards,
Mr Gary Hawkins BSc (Hons) PGCE QTS SLE NPQH
