The School Day

Timetables may vary from day to day and class to class according to the learning needs of the children.

School Hours

The playground is open from 8.30am. The timing of the school day is as follows:

• Morning 8.50am – 12.15pm
• Morning break 10.35am – 10.50am
• Lunchtime 12.15 – 1.15pm
• School finishes – 3.30pm

The playground is open from 8.30 in the morning and children remain the parents responsibility until 8.50.  At 8.45 adults will open classroom doors and meet children.  The doors will close at 9:00am. This may happen earlier in cold weather but children will still be let in. All children, who arrive after this time, will need to enter the school via the office.  

If your child is late to school, they should be brought directly to the School Office where you should sign them in.  Children arriving after 9.00am are marked as late. Children arriving after 9:15am will be marked as an unauthorised absence for the morning session. In a typical week the school is open 33 hours and 20 minutes.

End of Day Routines

All children in Year 3-4 are must be dropped off and collected by an adult.  If a different person is collecting your child, please let the class teacher or school office staff know in advance.  Throughout the school, children will only be released to named authorised adults who have your consent to pick up. If a child in year 5 or 6 is allowed to walk home at the end of the school day, please notify us of this in writing and let the class teacher know.

In each class there is a named peg for your child or a locker for pupils in Year 6. Lunch boxes are to be put on the relevant lunch box trolley and book bags are kept in the classroom.  Please ensure lunch boxes, book bags and shoes are named.
