Curriculum
Our Curriculum Intent
Our engaging curriculum offers appropriate challenge and is tailored to
meet the needs of all our pupils at Woolenwick Junior School. The
children are at the centre of all curriculum decisions and our planning,
which exploits cross curricular opportunities, incorporates a balance of
knowledge and skills, taught in a progressive and sequential way. At
the start of new learning, we collect the children’s prior understanding
through a ‘knowledge harvest’ which can inform and support our
planning. We know our children well and always look for opportunities
to build cultural capital and British Values into our daily routines, while
considering their mental health and well-being.
